Position: partial shade
Soil: fertile, well-drained, neutral soil
Rate of growth: fast-growing
Flowering period: July to September
Flower colour: mauve-pink
Other features: N/AHardiness: fully hardy
Delicate mauve-pink, cup-shaped flowers with reddish-brown centres from July to September can grow up to 10cm across. This vigorous, large flowered clematis is ideal for a north-facing site. A compact variety useful where space is limited, it is best in partial shade since the pretty flowers fade in strong sunlight.Garden care: In early spring cut back the previous year's stems to a pair of strong buds about 15-20cm (6-8in) above ground-level and apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the plant, avoiding the immediate crown.
