A red, overwintering onion that should be planted in autumn and will be ready to harvest in May or June. It produces symmetrical, semi-globe shaped bulbs, that have an excellent flavour. Very tasty in salads.Garden care: Plant onion sets from September to November 15cm (6in) apart in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Lift the onions when they are mature and allow them to dry before using.
