Red Hot Poker 5 Bareroot Plants

Perennial Kniphofia or Red Hot Poker is a spectacular plant and is gorgeous in colour ranging from yellow to red towards the tip. They are ideal for cottage gardens borders and as cut flowers.
Provided the soil is not waterlogged or frozen you can plant straight into the garden. Bare root plants should usually be planted about an inch below the surface. Gently water them in and then water as necessary until the next good rain or during dry periods. Removing faded flowers will generally encourage a second flush of colour in many plants. Each autumn cut plants back to ground level after flowering.
