Wild Edric comes supplied in a 6 Litre pot and starts as attractively pointed purple-pink buds that gradually open up to a semi-double flower of deep velvety-pink with shades of purple and mauve revealing a group of yellow stamens. Its fragrance is strong a combination on pure clove from the stamens and Old rose from the petals with hints of watercress and cucumber. Wild Edric was a Saxon Lord from Shropshire who was said to have married a Fairy Queen. He criticised her one day and she disappeared -legend has it that his ghost is still be to seen searching for her in the hills.

Planting: When planting the base of the stems should be about 7.5cm below ground level. If immediate planting is not possible keep the roses in the sealed bag or box in a cold but frost-free place for no more than two weeks.
Soil Type: Roses will grow in a wide range of soils though whatever type they are in they do appreciate good soil preparation. Adding a generous quantity of well-rotted manure or garden compost before planting will help to ensure strong growth.
Planting Position: Plant in a location with at least a few hours of sun each day and where the roots of the rose will not be in competition with the roots of plants - especially trees and hedges.
