Hollyhock Appleblossom Seeds

This vairety boasts attractive high quality flower spikes packed with stunning double powder-puff blooms in delicate shades of apple-blossom pink. This is a class perennial ideal for adding height and interest to cottage garden borders.
Sow seed February to March or September to October at 15-20C on the surface of a good free draining damp seed compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or sealed container inside a polythene bag until after germination (usually takes 14-21 days).
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 45cm apart.Prefers a well cultivated soil in a sheltered position.
