HRH Prince of Wales created Duchy Originals in 1990 due to his belief in the clear advantages of organic farming; the production of natural and healthy foods and sound agriculture which helps to regenerate and protect the countryside and wildlife.
Add colour flavour and texture to your mixed leaf salads with Radicchio Firestorm - an Italian salad vegetable which is rich in antioxidants.

Sow from June to July for full sized heads thinly in well-prepared soil in full sun 13mm deep in drills 30cm apart. If preferred these can be sown in pots on the windowsill for fresh leaves all year round. Thin seedlings when they are large enough to handle to 30cm apart and keep well watered to minimise bolting (running to seed). Harvest from August to December.
