The classic Oriental Poppy with large bright scarlet-red flowers and a jet black centre.
This hardy perennial will grow to a height of 80cm (32in).Germinate from February to May at 15C on the surface of a good free draining damp seed compost. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and then plant out 30cm apart.
