With an exciting and colourful range of robust densely packed flower spikes this traditional lupin will enhance any garden scene. An easy and very rewarding hardy perennial to grow in borders the plant will grow to a height of 90-120cm (36-48in).

Sow Feb to June or September to October. Soak seed overnight before sowing and germinate at 20-30C on the surface of a good free-draining damp seed compost. Apply a layer of compost or vermiculite 3mm deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 18-21 days.Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm pots and place in cooler conditions. After all risk of frost plant out 30cm apart.
