Golden weddings!

Congrats both, mine will be 30 in October, my mom and dad had their 50th in 2014 we all went to Weymouth to celebrate, we are going to see ELO in concert so far not sure what else yet 😃

Sue, we rarely do anything either! But I remember wanting to mark our silver (25 years?), so persuaded OH to come to the Edinburgh Festival with me - great fun. You’ll have to think of something to mark your special day . . .

We celebrated 51yrs on July 1st, last year we were in The Lake District for our golden anniversary and it was perfect, we have never made a big thing about anniversaries, we did have a family party, the kids surprised us, with some wonderful gifts amongst which were tickets for Neil Diamonds 50th Anniversary World Tour, it was fabulous, so pleased we went as he had to cancel towards the end due to ill health and won't be able to tour again.....

Congratulations! ! We make 43yrs this year, so not quite there yet. Hope you enjoyed your day.

Congratulations Sue - how lovely to have your family so involved. We’ve never made much of anniversaries either, in fact I’ve just informed our boys! (Though on our 20th, I was having coffee with friends in town, when a florist appeared, asked my name, and then proffered a huge bouquet of roses. My friends were deeply impressed!)

Thank you Julia, we’ll enjoy our little boat ride on the day, I’m sure, followed by a pub lunch. Can’t go away as OH is waiting for a bypass op.

Party Sheila? Gloucester is about half way, lol..(never been there) Not really practical though is it- too far for everyone to come. And my health is so unpredictable I might not make it at the last minute - horrors! Hope you enjoy your boat trip and will try to order some sunshine for you. Also hope your OH doesn't have to wait too long for his op and that it all goes according to plan. Best wishes to both of you.
