garden alterations

hi everyone…not been on here for a while so hope you are all well and having fun in the sun.i was getting itchy fingers back in march wanting to change the appearance of my backyard to give more depth and shape to it and finally decided on a border re-design in oak sleepers creating different levels.
as you can see from my older pictures lots of bamboo clumps had to be dug out and temporarliy potted up(not nice work)and all crammed into one corner of the garden, its only approx 30sq metres so it was a bit tight to work in…but none the less after a lot digging, levelling and sweaty oak sleeper carrying the work has all been done and am very pleased with how it all looks now in july with all the jungly tropical planting looking very lush and looking forward to the cannas, gingers and lillies when they start to flower and give splashes of colour amongst lush foliage….hope you like it aswell :-) oh and also, does anyone know what the white flowers are..elongated buds, strappy leaves like agapanthus,i bought it from a garden centre i think in bulb form…many many thanks peeps

Crikey, it actually looks like you've upped sticks and moved to the jungle! . What a gorgeous garden you have created.
No idea what those white flowers are though.

I think the plant with white flower is called the Spider Lily which belongs to the Hymenocallis family. Your garden is lovely.

Bravo!!! I once visited Longwood Gardens here in the US. It is a 800 acre horticultural display garden of the DuPont family. At the time I toured Longwood, they had a small garden exhibit and I was more impressed with what one could do with a space no larger that yours than with the acres and acres of other display gardens there. In fact, it was the small garden display that got me into gardening. Before then I had not even planted a tomato plant.

What a fantastic transformation Shadydappler, we share the love of the same plants :) your garden could be my garden lol. Tropicaly Lush, I tried growing the spider lily this year but it didn't take or the ginger tubers i planted early spring sigh but im having success with musa and ensettes this year because of the mild winter so not all doom and gloom. Love your garden..
