Ready, set!

The bird is stuffed, veg all peeled, pigs in their blankets, mince pies dusted with icing sugar and presents under the tree.

Sitting in front of the open fire with a glass of wine with my lovely other half just relaxing.

The best bit is both my daughters are home tonight for the big day tomorrow.

I hope you all have a lovely day doing what you wish to do with the people you wish to be with.

Happy Christmas

we have had a lovely day. the girls have gone back to the eldest flat for the night so hubby and I are relaxing in front of the TV, deciding who is going to make a turkey sandwich. I think it should be him as I have done all the other food but he says it should be me as I do it so well ;o)

I've just told him I'm not hungry yet so if he wants one make it himself. when he gets up I'll shout through 'oh go on then make me one too haha ;o)

Hope you have all had a lovely day too.

We've had a lovely day as well, Juliet my youngest daughter, her hubby and the two grandkids came round early this morning, 19 and 16yrs old and they still insist on us being with them when they open their presents, then Gary and daughter-in-law drove over from Boston to join us for dinner and exchange more gifts, tomorrow we are doing it all over again (except for the prezzies) but the other way round as we are going to Juliet's, so like you we are now relaxing, I have suggested turkey sandwiches and hubby is making them as long as I slice the bread, lol..

Sandwiches? I couldn't eat another thing...

I'd sooner eat a sandwich or something savoury any time Stera, do not eat many sweet things at all, don't really know why I bother to buy a lot of the Christmas treats, do like my own homemade mince pies and tarts though....

we went to York to pick Victoria up, then walked into the city centre to see Elizabeth. She was working today.
so far not had anything to eat. but tonight I will fry up the left over veg as a type of bubble and squeak and finish off the pigs in blankets . Hubby will have turkey and chips.

its lovely having the family together. Glad you had a lovely day too.

Good to hear you have all enjoyed Christmas. We went down to my daughters for Christmas and it was wonderful. SiL did the cooking and no washing up for us either. We had to come home as we are having other family for New Year. Enjoy Hogmanay and many blessings for you all in 2017.
