Tonight I have been sorting out plants to sell on Saturday 10th May at the village hall in Skidby. I have a stall twice a year and I donate the proceeds to charity. this year it will be Dove House hospice.

If you are in the area please don’t let the weather put you off; drop in.

Village Hall, Main street, 10.30am – 1.00pm.

thanks but the forecast isn't looking promising. the plants are well watered but they are going to be very heavy to carry round.
the nearest parking for unloading is in the street next to the hall, oh that's right in front of my own house :o(

will pray it stops raining so I can persuade daughter to help carry trays. ooh a flying pig !!

Best of luck with your fundraising. This type of plant sale is the best sort and if I wasn't the other end of the country, I would be there! You can't beat local plant sales, you get different plants than the usual stock of the Garden Centres and so much cheaper. You can usually get free advice too about where they like to grow and how big, not the generic label, but real sizes and if they are invasive. We have all read the label 'fast growing' only to find it really means, you will never get rid of it!

Thunder and lightning and a flying pig [coffee and cake :o) ] sun torrential; rain and £90.50 for the hospice.

You are so right about the joy of these plant stalls. I was complemented on my wide range of unusual plants.

thanks for all the best wishes they made the day start off well.
