Birth of a Damsel

I watched a wren ‘jumping’ amongst the yellow flag iris.

When I went to investigate I noticed a quick movement on the leaf.

Here is the skin it has just ‘stepped out’ off.

It kept playing ‘Peek-a-boo’ around the leaf.

Once its wings were fully extended and dry it flew off.

Wonderful. My Mum was in my Nan's garden, she had a red mating pair land on her arm, and were going at it right there. They needed to get a room. They did eventually fly off before coming back later and continuing. How rude. LOL

It is nice to see one that has just come in to adulthood.
