Enjoyed a very quiet day at home yesterday so decided to share some christmas cake with the birds.

They get fed their normal diet each day but I thought I would give them some Christmas treats.

Father Christmas got the most visitors…

it was so nice to just sit ant watch for a while. There wont be any visitors to the table this morning with the wind blowing up a whooly..60MPH.

Hope all the horrible weather hasn’t ruined anyones festivities. Spring is comming.

PS no news on the grand daughter as yet!!!

Oh good, they can have that with my blessing lol your cake looked so lovely, we don't make Christmas cake any more, we would only eat it (just the two of us!!) the family are not keen........must find a recipe for making mini ones!!

I must admit when I saw you'd posted a blog, Sandra I wondered if it was news about your granddaughter.
Nevertheless, I loved your pics of the birds being treated in your garden. What lucky birds! They don't get any in my garden, I love Christmas cake!

So did I,Sandra..I guess you will be posting some more good news soon :o) Good grief, very Masterchef goodies for your birds ! We love Christmas cake too,but like Angela, the family aren't keen either..First year, all our married life, and before, that I haven't made my own,but I found a nice substitute ..not better, but that could be just my opinion ! Lol x

I hope the birds enjoyed their treat Sandra. They'd only have the icing off mine lol ...

Your grand daughter must be waiting for the new year ...

the icing was in fact the first to go Hywel....

Lilly made the cake back in the summer with my mams recipe. She is showing no signs of making me a granny this year!!! It's been a very sober Christmas here at Corseside with us all awaiting the arrival and OH was on nights all over Christmas. Lilly lives here with us and her partner Olly and we are all on tender hooks....not least because they have to travel 26 miles to Carmarthen when her time comes. Yesterday we heard that that hospitals consultant led maternity was full and redirecting patients to Swansea which is 50 or so miles away!!!! 2 days over now so it can't be much longer....

What about Withybush hospital Sandra ? Why have you got to go all that way - makes no sense at all to me :(

31 Dec, 2015

Lilly has a few health issues and the Whithy bush only has midwives not doctors as they have closed the big unit. they can't even put a drip in...and no baby care unit what so ever... It's the same at Bronglais...meaning people in Aberystwyth have to get to Carmarthen too!!!!

I'm lagging behind Sandra so had missed this one, I'm afraid the birds missed out as we didn't bother with a xmas cake, spent time visiting family so I was spoilt this year and had my dinner all prepared and served up by someone else, lol.....Lovely photo,s....
