i agree with all above, covering is best to avoid chemicals ian, slow but affective, and a good rotavate and taking roots out, i wouldnt think this time of year woulod be good to grass seed, to dry , better in spring i would have thought, maybe if you get it prepared and save up a bit while doing this then get someone to turf it for you, if you can, ive seeded a lawn before and not only does it take time but you have to keep off it or will get killed off before rooted properly, and with holly wanting to play thats not a good idea, but take your time ian and keep well my friend ;o) x

thats what i need, im fed up with the old builders barrow, an eye sore

hi carole yes it is a lovely place to visit, didnt get to see the childrens house sadly not enough time but will go again, they had two tables of plants outside the shop, quite expensive but nice as a memento ;o))
janey and ian glad im not alone with the motorway thing, starnge how it comes after years off being ok, but like ian says people going so fast and skipping in front and so close it scares me to death, if anything happened we wouldnt stand a chance, makes me feel sick just thinking about the motorway, im going to sit in the back when we take joe to uni in aberdeen, i wont be able to breath lol
thankyou so much jem, glad you enjoyed the pics, plants all settled in and rained lastnight so thats good for them ;o))
