yes the plants certainly make the pond dont they they, i had water hyacynth but the summer wasnt hot enough to bring on the flowers, but the fish love to eat the roots so will get it again, takes over so had to keep removing some ,

yes hoping it survives winter, it should but you never know.

lol linda, he had me playing with the feather ball on a stick for ages, was worn out lol, funny how they just walk across keyboard when your typing,, are they trying to tell us something lol

ps thanx for the info amy, its my other holly bush im not sure about, no berries and dont know what it is either, but even if it never gets berries i still love the leaves :o)

thanx for your input 2ndhand and like bamboo says sometimes you have to take steps to make sure they dont return after a certain age lol but at the moment i do miss joe, but we text most days about something which has happened to either myself or joe , also phone him weekends and look forward to him coming home for xmas :o) not sure about two years bamboo, i will be grieving again after 3 years when he goes off elsewhere and not back to blackpool lol

thanx catweisel, wow 21 cats, where do you keep them all, sorry about primrose and the kitten that died, so very sad, what will you do with the other kittens, will you find good homes for them, bet they all keep you busy :o))

thanx paul the lily did well for first year with 4 flowers in all, the leaf next to it is marsh marigold, like a big buttercup which is lovely.
