In the garden.

It has been nearly 2 months since I wrote my last blog. Nothing realy exiting has happened in the garden and down at the bungalow since then…no real big changes gone on…when we bought the place last year we bought it because we liked it as it was….not to make many big alterations. Autumn is with us…where was summer?…oh yes…the last few days…but as of tomorrow the weather is going to change…so the weather people tell us. I have been going round the garden the last few days getting seeds from a lot of flowers, putting them in a big jar and mixing them up, next spring I will scatter the seeds about and see what happens…it could be an interesting mix of different flowers. For a long time I have been interested in Narrow Boats and follow a lot of blogs in the net…not that I could ever afford a narrow boat but the life style I find interesting…one thing that also interests me is the household things that they paint…I thought I could do that sort of thing as well…maybe not as good as what they have…but never mind I have started to paint a few things…“my style”..and it keeps me busy down at the bungalow….photo´s following…as well as some photo´s of the garden…I will explain where needed…..

An old dustpan painted in my style of canal painting.

As you can see this is a coal scuttle that I painted.

Here are some clogs that I coulored…not done with paint but with wax crayons and chalk…..so enough of that type of thing now to some photo´s of the garden.

Today is the 3rd of October…and that was the thermometer reading….in the sun!.

The leaves are slowly turning colour…btw behind the trees is a disused railway line.

This is one of the views from the garden..one of the nicer ones….it is just a bit to the left of the previous photo….btw the other views arn´t bad…but they are just of houses in the distance…not very interesting realy.

So that was another blog from me. Enjoy the good weather while it lasts and happy gardening to you all.

Thank you all for the nice comments. @ Linda...yes the clogs were the first thing that I attempted to "paint", some of the older dutch people still wear them in country regions..with very thick socks inside them.

I like the narrow boats as well and they always look so colourful, you have made a good job of your painting Rogi.

Novel and interesting... As for the temperature, I thought it was unbearable here at 30 deg C - but 40 deg, well, goodness me...

I like your painted things. I think they're great. They have reminded me of 3 old smoothing irons that I've got, and 2 lasts. I think I will paint them :o))
Your garden is wonderful. It's full of interest. I like that view with the railway bridge.
