I am one of those people who gets up very early and I was down at our datcha and garden around 7 am this morning. I just walked round with my camera and thought that I would share the photos with you all.

It is, it is! More in summer though, unless you are into star gazing!

I used to be a morning person which was useful when we had a newsagent's business. But now that we're retired we seem to be sleeping in a lot more...kinda wrecks the day if we sleep too late! lol

You've got lots of lovely shots of your garden there...in the garden before the heat of the day...great plan.

Hi Rogi What a lovely garden you have ,is that a wood in the background?

Yes, Lulu....7am would be a lie-in but we're very indulgent and lie in til 9, 10...even later on some days for me! lol

So it's brunch in place of breakfast and lunch and a very late start to our day usually! Oh the shame (blush)....

@ Cmsue, thanks for the comment about my nice garden, sorry I missed your question before. It is a small wood that goes back high up to a disused railway line.

Hi Rogi...I love tall trees...what's a landscape without some nice towering shade bearing trees? From the plants you're growing it looks like your climate is much like ours. How long and how cold are your winters?

@ Lorilyn..Our winters vary year to year, last winter was a very hard one...as in most of Europe, but I think the year before we just had one snow fall and that was gone in about 3 hours!!...so every winter is a bit of a suprise!.

It seems that just about everywhere the extreme is the norm! The over all trend seems to be toward warming though. It's anyone's guess anymore! We have had so much variation that I don't recall what a "normal" winter is like.
