If in pots, they might also have an outright calcium deficiency, and it would be worthwhile adding lime or gypsum to the pot, in addition to the usual fertilizer.

Thats blossom end rot, I just remove them as soon as seen
Uneven watering can cause it also uneven temperatures....which we have certainly had......
Some varieties seem more prone to it too
