Care tips please for Centranthus ruber

United States

I planted this last year and it is brilliant this year. When the flowers die down should I cut them back and how far and will I get a second show of flowers this year?

I would recommend deadheading this every two or three days - it is very quick to run to seed and very quick to self sow. Also by doing this, you can keep if flowering for several months
