My Wisteria has become uncontrollable and it is now taking up too much space. I do not necessarily want to dispose of it completely so how far down should we cut it without doing so. ?

Thankyou.

Hello, now is a good time to get rid of wispy growth (the long thin bits of growth). You can cut Wisteria to 1-2 foot in a hard cut but that will affect flowering - it will bounce back next year. if you are doing that then you can also do that now.

Thank you so much everyone who has replied to my Wisteria question. Ihave now begun the cut back and I am pleased to see the area looking tidy, or becoming tidy already. If there are no flowers next year I can live with that.Again, many thanks everyone.
