Sarcococca humilis problem

Does anyone know why my sarcococca humilis
(Christmas Box) dropped all its shoots and young leaves ?
It refuses to put on any new growth but is still alive.
It was on a bank with afternoon sun only.

Has it dried out badly? If it has, the best thing to do is re-water quickly. I find they are fairly late to make their leaves really start to move.
