I have planted 3 ginger lilys 4 weeks ago in a tub and there is no movement. Have I planted them upside down?

Give them a chance, you may have planted them too late in the season to get any flowers this year, you will probably get green shoots and stems but no flowers. the flowers grow on the same seasons growth. Were there any shoots on the tubers when you planted them? I don't think it will matter too much, the shoots will grow towards the light so it won't matter if they are placed the wrong way.
