I have a Clematis macropetala (?)

jangue

By Jangue

Somerset, United Kingdom Gb

It has finished flowering and left fluffy seedheads - what do I do with it now? Prune it or leave it alone?

Answers

If it is not taking up more room than you want then leave it alone. Remove any dead pieces of course.
Now is the time to do any pruning of spring flowering species.

The macropetala group only need tidying up in early spring. Don't cut it back too far now!
