little orange coloured eggs

we have found some very small orange coloured eggs in the ground.if you squeeze them in your fingers they pop and ooze a sort of liquid.so i assume its some sort of bug?but is it a good bug or a nasty one . any ideas............steve

Are you not getting them confused with slow-release fertilizer balls such as Osmocote?

Most potted plants will contain these and are often mistaken for Slug eggs.
