My wysteria has gone mad, very ragged and spindley. Whats the best time to cut it back and how much. It is growing over a wooden arch?

July is the best time as that is when you influence the flowering potential for next year. You need to cut it back, feed and water it then. How much to cut back? Depends but to 5 buds on a branch is good.
