we have an acer it is about 20 yrs old it has two main branches one is in full leaf looking quite limp the other looks dead except for one limb in leaf like the other branch, the dead looking ones came into bud but no further.
please can you help

Knowing where you are in the UK, and a photograph or two of the plant, would be useful for diagnostic purposes. If you can't manage photographs, what variety of Acer is it and where is it growing (I'm assuming in the ground)
