Which one ? very hard to tell from this pic but first thoughts for the golden plant was Choisya ternata sundance

Hard to tell from this distance, as you say, but my first thought was Spirea "Goldflame" once the orange tints are gone, or possibly the golden version of mock orange (Philadelphus aureus).
