Camelia (Red)

Hi, I purchased a large red camelia and planted last summer. There was an abundance of large buds which have failed to blossom they simply turned brown along with some of the leaves. Any advice would be much appreciated. Mark

yes it does sound like frost damage doesnt it. has it had plenty of water too ?

Hi Markmiller - did your Camellia get frosted in the last month? This is a big cause of buds going brown and dropping off... the only other thing I can think of is that the shrub does not like your soil conditions - Camellia's need an acidic soil.
