do I need special plant food for red gooseberry and cranberry bushes or will general plant feed be okay.

i dont feed mine except for a general mulch in spring and autumn.

My understanding is that you can feed with either, altho' it prob. is better to use one for soft fruit. I'm not sure what it was called but I saw one in a local garden centre. It will contain better nutrients than a general feed but it's up to you if you want to spend the extra money. I would if it was up to me.
