bought this fella last year as it seemd exotic, what can i say leave come up had this flowere early this year.

I can see new leaves coming underneath - the old one (and its stem) can be cut off completely

Are there no labels on the plants,when you buy, or no assistant to ask.

Hi Stevie, You'd do well to cut off the sick looking 'old' leaves in case there is any disease active in/on them. Then the new leaves coming through won't get infected.
