When should new growth start to appear on Dicksonia antarctica?

We followed care advice for a dicksonia antarctica we puchased last year to include fleece protection throughout winter. we have cut back old growth. question posed above. regards diane and tony

Around about now. Put your fingers in the top of the trunk and you should feel the curled up fronds. If they are soft and mushy, remove it immediately and you should get fresh ones growing soon after.
