my indoor palm suddenly grew a flowering stem from the center of the stalk.flowers are now dying and making a mess, should I cut the stalk off and if i do will it grow leaves again?

In some palms you can get seeds inside those yellow/white flowers. You can try and grow them, sometimes the Palms are sterile though.

The only indoor palm likely to bloom from the center is the Fishtail Palm (Caryotis species) and then only when huge. Is it maybe a Dracaena or Cordyline, rather than a palm, Lathropalms?
