What sort of problems i.e Pest & Disease or weather related can I expect to find if I am to plant Winter growth hanging baskets? What tips could I take to help produce good quality baskets over the winter?
Thanks

Hi Ij4 and welcome to GoY as you have not told us whereabouts you are in the world it is not possible to answer you. Please edit your profile to show the country and area that you live in

Moon_grower is right! If you are gardening in southern Arizona, you will need far different advice than if you are gardening in Scotland!

Let's see if Ij4 responds Tugb... part of me thinks this is an exam or test question - or part of one!

If he or she was hoping for instant help with studying the night before the test, they're bound to be disappointed.

I live in Manchester, and at 41 and a retail manager sorry no test (who wants to take a test on a Saturday?) just keen to ensure my first attempt at winter baskets goes without hitch :)
Though you never no maybe career change in later life may not be a bad idea!!

Sorry, Ij4! This site is sometimes plagued by students wanting us to do their studying and homework for them! Manchester lets me out as a source, though I am 'satiably curious enough to want to know the answer, too. Our winters are so mild here, that we usually use petunias and lobelia in the baskets, but some of my customers garden in higher elevations.

Never heard of pests being a problem in winter, but make sure you have adequate drainage (only applies with plastic baskets not wire ones though) Use tough evergreens like ivy and euonymus or a young skimmia, with a few pansies and primroses and perhaps a winter heather or two.

Lots of people do go for a career change - my OH and my older son both did and it was a good move for both of them! You could finish up selling hanging baskets on the market on Saturday mornings!

Steragram has given you a full and clear answer... As to 'test on a Saturday' if you are doing a horticultural course by correspondence then write the answers to a test on a Saturday would not be abnormal.

How do I say thanks?
