I have been given some polycarbonate panels and wondered if I could use them to double glaze my greenhouse instead of bubble wrap I would maybe use waterproof silicone on the aluminium frame to attach them inside any other Ideas on how to attach them would be appreciated they is 20 panels 4ft X 2ft

I would think they still need to be removable because of the condensation/dirt that will get between them?

hi you could try gaffer/duct tape that way you can take them down when not needed.good luck.

If you mean the twin-wall polycarbonate sheets that are used for conservatory roofs, then they would provide excellent insulation? But they would restrict the light somewhat.

As you said, you could use silicone to fix them, as polycarbonate is a relatively light material. You could use a clear one for outdoor use. You might also consider using a waterproof double sided tape for ease of removal of the panels.

If you don,t use the panels for your greenhouse, I,ll always buy them from you as I might be getting a grow house for Christmas this goes for anybody on this site as I am after a greenhouse as well.
