auberieta gracilis kitte - leaves turning tellow

Bought from a nursery and planted in quite clayey soil with some compost added. After 2 weeks the leaves at the base of the plant are turning yellow and this seems to be spreading upwards.

my guess is it doesn't like the wet clay and this is causing the yellowing, try putting alpine grit under the bottom leaves, or pot it up as suggested.

I assume you watered it - but did you OVER-water it, do you think? I suggest that you dig it up, pop it in a pot of compost and give it some TLC until it has recovered.
It doesn't like something! While it's being potted, check that there are no nasties in the soil...I've been digging up grubs today.
