why cant i seem to get photo's to load?

my brother visited at the weekend and leant me his camera. they are all in 'my pictures' and i think i have followed the instructions but cant find the crocus photos. help

sussed it ~ too impatient. expect computer to be faster than it is. I have put 4 photos of my croucus up hope you like them. its now 12.30 and i had better go to bed. or shall i upload one more?

Maybe they are too large? Check the megabytes used for each photo. The size has to be within a certain range.
