Cutting back foliage
Having never grown Astrantia, Sanguisorba and Persicaria before...do I cut the foliage back to ground level or leave until spring?
Thanks for any help

I've always left them alone, i don't cut them back in spring because i don't see it benefits the plant.
Being herbaceous they'll die back naturally through the winter months.
