I have planted cordon apple trees on 10 March.Should I prune them now or is it to late

United States

The trees look as if they are 2 years old and need shaping into cordons

It's a good idea to prune trees and shrubs when you plant them as it stimulates growth. If you want to train something it's never really too late as it needs to be pruned or the shape goes all wrong. Just avoid a frosty day.
