if you have a heated propagator you could start them now but they are less hardy than tom's in my experience. I usually start mine off first week in april and i am in yorkshire.

Basil can be sown and grown at any time on a sunny windowsill. I have tiny seedlings already, having planted a few in the greenhouse a week ago. Sorry, can't help with cucumbers - never grown them.

How do I say thanks?
