Can you raise the hoops to give more height putting a board round the base. If the sprouts are already forming you could cut the tops out about an inch long and eat them as sprout tops. I don't know which part of the U.K. you live in but your brussel sprouts seem to be very well forward. You can look up seed catalogues for next years plants.
