i have a space down the side of the house and its in shade for the most of the day and nothing will grow there could you give me ant suggestions, considering i am new at this gardennig thig i dont know the names of manny plants

There are lots of shade loving plants, even climbers. Try Euonymus fortunei 'Silver Queen', either as a climber or a shrub, Hostas, ferns, Bergenia. Ajuga, Geranium phaeum, just to name a few. Hydrangea petiolaris is a good climber for shade.
