Any ideas how to stop black spot on roses, I've tried sprays and the blackspot still appears, I have had a lovely show of roses but the blackspot on the leaves really spoil the look of them. I try and get rid of leaves but alas they soon reappear.

Blackspot is a perennial problem on lots of roses, some varieties are more prone to it than others. Good pruning can help because it should increase the airflow in and around the bushes, and always clear away any fallen leaves from the ground, particularly in autumn/early winter.
Otherwise, its sensible to spray every fortnight from April through till September with a systemic fungicide which treats blackspot.
