I hope there is now a picture, I thought i had already attched one!
Does anyone know what this is. I thought it was an alpine strawberry but the flower is yellow. It tastes a bit like cucumber. In flower since June I think, no flowers for the past 3 weeks, just fruit.

yes need a photo but as you have eat the fruit and are maybe still alive well who knows

It could be an Indian Mock Strawberry (Potentilla [Duchesnea] indica). It is in the same family, and the fruits are edible, but not very tasty.
