My Japanese Acer is red but the leaves are curling up at the edges and turning yellow at the edges. Why? and what should I do

Inspect the branches and stems and backs of leaves for any signs of unwelcome visitors, particularly scale on the stems or woody parts. Otherwise, if you've got it in full sun, specially in the middle of the day, move it to a shadier spot - likewise if its in a windy, exposed situation. Otherwise, keep it well watered.

Have you got it in a wind free spot and is it well watered? They also don't like full sun and prefer an acidic to neutral soil.
