They're annuals, so no, not worth it - however if you've got it growing this year in pots, you'll probably find it popping up again next spring in various pots, even in ones you didn't plant it in, so don't be too hasty with clearing things out next spring, keep an eye out for them. I had one plug plant of it last year, and this year it came up everywhere, in all the pots.

I find it keeps coming back for about three summers, getting weaker, then disappears.
