We planted a standard lilac tree 2 years ago and it flowered and leafed both years. However this year it has failed to produce flowers or leaf. Every branch is still green when you rub the bark. Can you please advise what we can do to get the flowers and leaves back for next year. Do we just leave it or prune.

What has happened the past year, Rodsmith? Has the grade been raised around the trunk, or has there been any digging? Did you use a weed killer nearby last fall? Has it shown any signs of honey fungus?

How do I say thanks?
