Consider ground cover such as:
Hypericum calycinum (Rose Of Sharon), Hedera hibernica 'Irish ivy', Cotoneaster horizontalis, Juniperus communis Repanda, Euonymus fortunei Dart's Blanket, Euonymus fortunei Emerald 'Gaiety' and Euonymus fortunei Emerald 'Gaiety'.
