Cutting back Phlox
The sheets of colour that my Phlox has provided over the last couple of weeks is sadly beginning to fade.
Do/can I cut them back hard (like I do with campanula) to promote a further flowering ? or is this damaging to the plant ?

Phlox paniculata I dead head mine, But I do not cut them back hard.
Or Phlox subulata I trim mine after flowering in late spring and if very untidy cut back very hard.
