thank you seaburngirl, i have had a look at the nigella plants, but that is not it, the flower,s are dark purple. maybe when it blooms we may have a better idea. i live in HULL, im not sure how to reply, as you may have gathered im not to clever on a computer. lol.

There are other Nigela species that do come in a deep purple. Cant remember which one it is though. I saw them at an open garden last week end.
